The Kraken Mk. II was created for the FIRST game Ultimate Ascent (you can find more information about the game HERE). This year we focused on the strategy of full-court shooting, so our strategy focuses on driving up to the feeding station and just slinging the discs into the three point goal. We run a custom 13:1 gearbox, with the possibility of a power takeoff, which allows us to switch all power from the CIMs on the drive train to a possible climbing mechanism. We also switched to C++ this year, which allows us to easily download code to the robot in a speedy manner. Below are images and videos (w/ descriptions).
